It fits just as nice on larger body types as there's plenty of fabric around the chest and hip area to accommodate any size up to a XL (Size 18) US comfortably.
Can I hem this Kaftan?
This Kaftan is 57 inches long. It can be hemmed very easily at your seamstress. For reference, the model is 5′4″ wearing a pair of 2" heels and it just drapes the floor, which is the way the Kaftan is meant to be as it gives it a more luxurious feel and look to it.

Do the clothes shrink after washing?
No they don't. Most of our dresses are a mixture of cotton and polyester and so there's minimal to no shrinkage. The cotton/poly dresses can be machine washed and hung dry to preserve the embroidery.
